Elizabeth SWANSON Obituary

On September 18, 2025 at Nazareth House, Christchurch, supported by staff, her Mercy Community, and family; aged 98 years. Dearly loved member of Nga Whaea Atawhai O Aotearoa, Sisters of Mercy New Zealand. 75 years professed as a sister. Dearly loved daughter of the late Elizabeth and Joseph, loved sister of the late Jack and Joan, Ursula and Bill Mitchell, Valerie and Colin Pearson, Kevin and Beverley, Tessa and Jack Ryan, Cecily and Mick Bryant, Suzanne and Maurice McKinley; loved Aunt of all her nieces and nephews and extended families. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Gregory's Catholic Church, Cotswold Ave, on Tuesday, September 30 at 11.00am, followed by interment at Waimairi Cemetery, Grahams Road. Vigil Prayers on Monday, September 29 at 7.00pm at Te Manawa Atawhai Catherine McAuley Centre, Villa Maria, 21 Peer Street.
