Elizabeth FITZGERALD Obituary

On December 26, 2023, at Nazareth House, Christchurch, supported by her Mercy community, family and staff. Dearly loved member of Nga Whaea Atawhai o Aotearoa Sisters of Mercy New Zealand in the 73rd year of her religious profession, aged 93 years. Dearly loved daughter of the late Daisy and Gregory Fitzgerald, loved sister and sister-in-law of Sr Marie RSM (dec), Patrick (dec), Claire and the late John Tier, Sr Bernadette RSM, Jim (dec) and Gwen (Melbourne), Michael and Bernadine (Upper Hutt), and Kathryn and Reg Owens (Ashburton). A loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff of Nazareth House and Mercy carers. Funeral Eucharist will be celebrated at Nazareth House Chapel, 220 Brougham Street, Christchurch, on January 3, at 1.30pm, followed by interment at Waimairi Cemetery, Grahams Road.
