Edward Blake Obituary
BLAKE, Edward (Ted)- Of Thurlow Way, Barrow, died on the March 9, at Furness General Hospital, aged 83 years, beloved husband of Marie, dearest dad of Susan, loving grandad of Carly and Mark, treasured great grandad of Joshua, a dear brother, brother in law and uncle, loved by us all and will be sadly missed. Service to be held in St James Church on March Friday 14 at 2.30pm, followed by cremation at Thorncliffe crematorium. Family flowers only, donations would be appreciated to the Royal British Legion and may be left with George Hall & Son Ltd, Beccleuch Street, Barrow. Telephone 820514.

I worked with Ted in the yard, you always had a smile for everyone and a great sense of humour. God bless mate you were a true gent.

Sorry to read of Mr Blake's death. He was a good friend of my dad and I remember as a young girl having lots of fun times as famillies with the Holker Old Boys. My sympathies go to your family.

I think this is Ted that I played with for Holker Old Boys soccer. sorry to hear of his death.
