Elisabeth NICHOLLS Obituary

After a courageous struggle with dementia, Lis died on June 4, 2025, aged 79 years. Loved sister of Rob Walker, wife of Gary for 58 years, mother of Mark, Michael, and Stephen, grandmother of Paloma, Victoria, Michael, Jana, and Tui. In accordance with Lis's wishes, a private cremation will be held. The family thanks the Christchurch Police, Search and Rescue and so many individuals who searched for Lis when she went missing. Thanks also to Fiona Lothian and the team at Dementia Canterbury. Lis will be missed terribly but remembered warmly by family and so many friends. Dear Gary, Mark, Michael, and Stephen

I wish I had the right words, we are thinking of you all.

We shared such good times together. Liz was so good to our Andrew as second mother. I admired her love for life and the way she tackled the moves from country to country without fuss and enjoyed each adventure.

Words of sympathy feel inadequate in expressing grief and sorrow for the loss of Liz.

When something like this happens, it leaves everyone figuring out how to pick up the pieces.

I´m so sad for your loss of Liz we wish we could have been more help
