Elaine DELL Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the unexpected passing of our mum, our nana, Elaine Dell (nee Rakena) on November 15, 2023. She passed away at home in Rāpaki with her doting husband Ron by her side. A longstanding Taua of Rāpaki Marae, and pou of her whānau, mum will leave a large void in all our lives and will be sadly missed. Adored wife of Ronald Dell and loving mother of Gary and Lynette, Kirsten and Jerry, Jason and Lilis, and Janina and Andre. Cherished nana to Libby and Michael, Xavier, Harry, Thom, Jasper, Reia and Steven, Sean, Michael, Emily and Jamie, Josh, Holly and Eden and great grandmother to Austin, Zoe, Charlotte, Oscar and Olive. Youngest daughter of the late Sarah Mabel Rakena (nee Couch) and Rakena Piripi Rakena. Loving sister of the late Kena, Areta, Sarah, Otene, Rua, Dallas, Tubby and to Mara and Tahu. Much loved Aunt of all her nieces and nephews and cousin to many. Elaine is resting at her home with her whānau at 210 Governors Bay Road. She will be at Wheke (Rāpaki Marae) from Friday 17th November at 10.00am until the service on Sunday, November 19, at 10.00am. Kia tau ai te mauri ki a tātou, nā te whānau o Elaine rāua ko Ron.
