Edward WARD Obituary
Peacefully and unexpectedly at Christchurch Hospital, on April 19, 2023, in his 87th year. Dearly loved husband, friend and soulmate of Elaine for 70 years. Much loved dad of Greg and Sarah, Debbie and Geoff Donald, and Brendan. Dearly loved and adored 'Ga' of Aleisha and Carl, Jeremy, and Lily; Kylie and AB, Shannon and Kathryn, and Jayden, and a dearly loved great-grandad of his six great-grandchildren. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Ted Ward, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A Service to celebrate Ted's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Tomorrow (Thursday), at 2.00pm. A private cremation thereafter.

My deepest and sincere sympathy to you Elaine and all your families in the sad loss of Ted, I didn't know him very well but we often had wee chats on the corner when I lived in Market St. He was such a lovely caring gentleman always good to chat with and have a few laughs. He was very well respected in the community and will be sadly missed by all. You will have many wonderful memories of his life to treasure and comfort you forever.

Condolences on the sad loss of Ted. He was an excellent man and I recall many happy and fun times at the house in Leeston. Sadly I cannot attend the funeral service as I have a commitment in Wellington that day. Hopefully he will be having a rum and coke with Mum up there and getting a word in edgewise!
