To Maria, Tania, and Dayne my sincerest sympathies - such a huge loss for you all. Loved his 80th birthday celebration... Eddie was an amazing guy who gave and gave. When I asked him and Bunny to go on our first "Face the Music" show held at the NZGG awards in the early 90's Eddie was the first to say he would support it along with Suzanne Prentice - and I only had to pay with two dozen of oysters!. He has the best voice in the work, and particularly loved him playing the trumpet. Many hugs to you all. Take care. Lynne Taylor and Athol Gray (who he will met up with upstairs).

Maria, Tania and Dayne my condolences and best wishes to you at this sad time.
Eddie and I met, but a few times (socially and a few family occasions), as I have largely been working and living overseas - Australia, North Asia, Europe and USA.
I am first cousin of your birth mother, Myra, who I maintained contact with over the years, until her death.
Your father is a legend and his many albums are a living testament to his 'golden' voice.

Will always remember him. He did have a voice in a million. I took my younger brother to see him at the Blind Foundation in Wellington (1968 or 1969). Seen him regularly at the Upper Hutt Cossie Club.
