Edward Victor Russell
(Russ):
NZ 5952, Petty Officer, R.N.Z.N. WWII. Passed away peacefully on September 20, 2017; aged 94 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Helen Suzanne (Sue). Treasured father and father-in-law of Lesley and Stephan, Jill and David, Steve (Harry) and Wendy. Much respected and loved grandfather of Mac and Heidi, Simon and Gerardene, Warner and Jane, Emily, George and Sarah, Henry and Liz, Corrin, Natalie, Melissa, Sean, and much loved by seventeen great-grandchildren. Messages to the Harris family, C/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. A Funeral Service for Russ will be held in the Academy Funeral Services Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Tuesday, September 26, at 11.00am.

Our Sincerest condolences to Russ's Family,
We feel privileged to have met Russ and felt honoured when he was able to travel over to Shantytown to attend the NZ Drillers Federation Conference in 2015. Attached is a photo of three of the eldest foundation members who attended the DRILL2015 Conference, cutting the 40th Anniversary Cake. Russ's contribution to the NZ drilling industry has been massive.
