Born in Murchison on July 24, 1950, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2021, at home with family in Rotorua following a long bravely fought battle. Beloved husband and friend of Linda for 50 years, father and father-in-law to Tim and Michelle, Stacey and Nathan, Abbie, Callum and Jasmine. Adored Gramps of William and Sara, Cassie, Olivia and Jessica, Isaac, Theodore and Fletcher. John's funeral will be held at The Rotorua Crematorium Chapel on Tuesday, October 19 at 1.30pm. Donations to Rotorua Community Hospice would be appreciated. All communications to the Downie Family, c/- PO Box 461, Rotorua 3040.
