10 March 1933 – 21 September 2025
Passed on September 21, 2025, at Nurse Maude Hospice, Christchurch, aged 92. Far from his birth place of Prague but surrounded by the immense love of his wife and whānau here in his second home Aotearoa. A psychiatrist and neurologist by profession, quick witted, intelligent and fun grandfather to his eight mokopuna and three adult children by retirement. He brought a worldly perspective to our lives and yet remained so incredibly humble about his own. Dusan is survived by his wife Carol, his step-children and partners: Clayton, Kelly and Rihari, Jason and Amy, and his mokopuna, Karamuu, Amiria, Wairaamia, Hinekaea, Toi, Matakaea, Maio and Emiliana.
E pā, you will always be wrapped in our aroha and part of our whakapapa thank you for allowing us to be part of yours.
Special thanks to the staff of Christchurch Hospital, Burwood Hospital and Nurse Maude Hospice for their lovely care of our Pōua.
A private cremation has taken place. A service for Dusan will follow in February 2026.
