Douglas McNeil (Doug):
On April 9, 2018, surrounded by his loving family; aged 83 years. Husband of Pauline, father and father-in-law of Paul and Nicky, Peter, Sally and William, Andrew and Kerry, Matthew and Amanda, and Susannah and Greg. Grandfather of Nicholas and Elizabeth; Lucy and Matilde; Brady, Lily, Grace and Joel; Alex and Theo; Archie and Stella, and great-grandfather of Jackson. Messages to the Washington family, c/- Summerset Wigram, 135 Awatea Road, Wigram, Christchurch 8025. The Service to celebrate Doug's life will be held in the Academy Funeral Services Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Friday, April 13, at 10.30am.

Uncle doug, my favorite uncle, many memories, when your brother lex, my father died so young,i was one sad fourteen year old boy, i remember you came down for his funeral and came in and had a talk with me and i will always remember that.
My first working experience was a holiday job on your orchard at lowburn, a great six weeks, when the tallying was done at the end, board and lodging, fruit eaten, knocked off trees,ect, i think i owed you six dollars at the end ,,,LOL

Washington Family
We were saddened to hear of Dougs' passing. He was such a lovely man we appreciated the times that we spent with Doug. We are thinking of all of you at this sad time. He was advocate for "Clan McNeill", and we enjoyed his 'Bag Pipe' playing. He will surely be missed. Keep the good thoughts and memories close. "Grief is the product of Love", I know you will have him in your heart forever.
