To Judy and Family, I have just heard about your loss of Doug. Doug was a great guy to be around, and so much fun to be with. I can remember the softball trips to Timaru and the Coast with the geriatrics, so much fun was had. And as for the fishing trips to picton where I was always crook for days after. He was always playing jokes, like the night he poured a bucket of dirty floor water over me after we had been duty team at the club rooms. Judy he was a fantastic mate and a great club man.
RIP Doug yours John Maule and Family.

When ever I talk about Uncle Doug, I have to talk about his amazing talent for training his dogs. Uncle Doug will be missed by his American Relatives, Bob * Wendy Telford and children (Doug's nephews and niece)
He was always so good to us whenever we visit, and so generous that it was embarrassing.
We loved him and will miss him, and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.

Dear Judy and Family.
On behalf of the McCrea family we wish to offer our sincere condolences at this sad time. We grew up with Doug's family in the Rowecliffe Cres / Dunarnan St neibourhood and a wonderful time it was with great memories right down to Doug's dog Rusty chasing me on my motorbike snapping at my feet. I got to know Doug in later years and enjoyed meeting him and his mates Cup Day at Addington every year.
A self made man and very successful businessman who enjoyed sharing his good fortune. I'll always remember the many times I was invited to his Xmas / Birthday get togethers. His generosity was second to none. RIP my friend you will be sadly missed.
Kevin McCrea.
