Dear Joyce and family. It is with great sadness that we have learnt of Doug's passing. I remember Doug with fondness particularly his contribution to the Meat Industry in his various roles in MAF and his sense of humour. I spent many hours with Doug at various meetings and training sessions over the years. He treated everyone with respect and it was always reciprocal. The attached photo was taken at the Mossburn Venison Plant in 1982 when Doug was giving the Resident Meat Inspector a break. The measure of he man indeed. Our thoughts are with you.Kindest regards, Bob and Sue Soper (formerly of Christchurch).
