COOP, Dr Douglas Harold:
Passed away peacefully at home on May 18, 2021. Aged 98. Dearly loved husband of the late Dr Margaret Coop. Cherished, loved and respected by Allan and Audrey (deceased), Jocelyn (deceased), Graeme, Peter, Cynthia, Diana and Zac. A very special grandpa to Emile and Harrison. A private celebration of Doug's life was held at the Shone and Shirley Chapel, Nelson. Many thanks to the wonderful carers from Access, and the angels from Nelson Tasman Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the hospice.

I met Douglas Coop or Doug as he was called, while I was a Support Worker with Enliven, Presbytarian Support Services Northern in Tauranga, he was in Bob Owens Retirement Complex at that time, I distinctly remember noting on his file or Support Plan that he was an Ophthalmologist, I spoke to him about that subject. My condolences to his family, RIP Doug.
