Dorothy Ruth (Dorrie):
Very peacefully after a short illness at Northbridge Retirement Village, Auckland, on April
11, 2015, aged 88 years.
Dearly loved sister of
Patricia Grant (Christchurch),
Shirley McGregor (Tauranga),
and Oonah Caldwell (Auckland). A Memorial gathering will be held at a later date in Waimairi Cemetery. Messages to Patricia Grant, 45 Landsdowne Terrace,
Cashmere, phone 942-3737.
Dorrie was a long time member of the Christchurch Senior Deaf Club. Her own words were:
''When I die,
I will see Jesus
and I will hear.''

I was sad to read about Dorrie. I worked with her many years ago at Lane Walker Rudkins. She used to get me to do some sewing jobs for her.

To Pat Oonah & Shirley, my sympathy to you all at the passing of Dorrie.I have many happy of your family & parents when I boarded with you..Dorrie I held fondly ,with many memories of her ,how she coped with her deafness & the laughs we had.It gave me a empathy with others who were deaf, also working with children with deafness.Have shared many stories of Dorrie & how they can get on in life.Love &prayers are with you all.(Shirley I am living Rotorua n would like to catch up some time)
