It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of Mum's passing, and find comfort in knowing she has reunited with Dad, her soul-mate Ian Shaw. On Saturday, August 16, 2025 peacefully in the care of Bupa Ascot Park, while surrounded by her loving family. A devoted carer to many, but most of all to her family and the community of Riverton. Loving mother and mother-in-law to Elizabeth (Liz) and Stewart Somerville, (Invercargill), Douglas (Riverton), Alastair and Lynda (Ashburton), and Rodney and Shelley (Isla Bank). Adored Gran of Shannon (dec); Shaun and Shortell; Bradley; Cameron; Blake; Holly and Great-Gran of Braxton and Layla. Cherished daughter of Rose and Reuben Allen (both dec). Treasured sister and sister-in-law of Stewart (dec) and Jocelyn; Rosalie and Gordon Pope; and Isabell and Barry Knight. Affectionate daughter-in-law to Stan and Rosanna Shaw (both dec), sister-law of Gibby and Val (both dec); Syliva and Charles King (both dec); Marie (dec) and Stan Owens; Owen (dec) and Nola; Noel (dec) and Anne; Daphne and Ray (dec) Flowers; Allan and Peggy; Dianne and Les Pope (both dec); Lynne and Geoff Peterson; and Bill and Pat. A much-loved Auntie; extended family member; Waitaki Old Girl; Nurse-Caregiver and friend to many. Special thanks to the staff of Bupa Ascot Park and Longwood for your care of Mum over this 5 year journey. To Isabell and Barry, your love and support at being there always, has been our strength, thank you. In accordance with Mum's wishes a private service has been held and Mum is now at peace with Dad at Riverton.
