Dorothy HITCHINS Obituary

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Malvina Major Retirement Village, Wellington; aged 91. At peace now after a long illness. Dearly loved wife of the late Keith Hitchins. Loved mother of April; and David and Vivi. A wonderful Nana to Harrison and Sophia. Special thanks to the staff of Malvina Major Hospital for their unstinting care and kindness. There will be a private cremation, but we will hold a memorial for Dorothy in September in Christchurch. Please contact us on [email protected] if you would like to attend.

So sad to hear of this from April last week. The love and laughter between Aunty Dot and my Mum - Clare - was an inspiration around deep and enduring friendship. I know I will be able to remember the laughter, silliness and special occasions when it was not the wine but the lettuce that clearly made everything funnier! My condolences to April, David and family - she adored her grandchildren and often spoke with huge pride of their achievements
