Hi many of us at healthcare NZ did nursing for Ivy for quite a while and it is with great sadness we see she has passed. But also with joy knowing the pain she was in has now passed.

February 5, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a much loved Aunty to Judy, Andrew and Christine, Susan and Chris, Great-Aunty to Anthea, Emma and Michael and a special person in the life of Glynis and Peter. Ivy passed away peacefully, with her beloved husband Alby by her side, on January 28, 2024, at the Bethesda Rest Home in Christchurch, where she and Alby had been living since November. Ivy was known for her great sense of justice and loyalty and was well respected by the legal community in Christchurch as a Legal Executive and Justice of the Peace over many years. She was active in the Labour Party, and the forming of Senior Net Canterbury. Ivy and Alby moved to Christchurch from England in 1959, celebrated their 93rd birthdays in September, and their platinum wedding anniversary in October. She was an enthusiastic trout angler, enjoyed spending time at their bach in the Lewis Pass and a keen gardener. A well-travelled person who bought much joy to her family in the UK and USA on their many visits.

Rest in peace Aunty Ivy
