Doreen BROWN Obituary

Passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, in Christchurch, in her 100th year. Dearly loved and caring wife of the late Maxwell. Treasured Mum and Mum-in-law of Naomi and Evan, Julia and Stephen, Priscilla and Peter, Paul and Sandra, and Mark and Mel. Precious Nana Dori to her 14 grandchildren and partners, and to her 21 great-grandchildren. All of our lives are enriched by her warmth, compassion, wisdom, intelligence and sense of humour. Grateful thanks to the wonderful caring staff at Nazareth House, Christchurch. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Doreen Brown, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A private interment has been held. A celebration of Doreen's long life will be held in our Oaklands Chapel, corner of Halswell Junction and Wigram Roads, Halswell, on Saturday, January 25, at 2.30pm.

We have known Doreen for many years and her sister Beverley. First met Doreen with Rick building a house for her and her husband that goes back over 50 years. Use to run into Doreen always with Beverley, they were a breath of fresh air, such adorable ladies, they would always stop and have a chat, always dressed beautifully. liked a chat and laugh.
We will never forget them

A beautiful friend of my late Father James Ravenscroft and Mother Elizabeth Reddock Smith.
Our family spent many happy years together with the Brown family. Fischer Avenue was the happy place to be!!!
Doreen will be missed by a huge number of people whose selfless life was touched by her kindness.
