Dear Geoff & family
My deepest condolences, I remember, how your dad, was such a gentleman, I would always turn up at his workshop sliding door, to get repairs done for Graeme, he alway gave a smile, and got straight onto the job. Nothing was ever a bother. Rest in peace. Always remembered

Dear Donn I only just found out that you passed away suddenly from being a long time friend of the family to working together at Goulds Aquafarms.
Such a beautiful humble man who always had an infectious smile and always had time for a chat.
Being close friends with Louise your daughter and your sons I have lots of great memories of the Hampton home and cruising around the district in the safari wind tunnel.
RIP Donny you were a great mate.xx

I owe Donn Charles Hampton so much and am so pleased that I had connected again with him and Linda in the last couple of years.
As a thirteen year old I worked for Donn and Jenny on the chook farm. He taught me so much, in fact it was Donn that steered me on my way to become an A Grade Motor Engineer. He worked so hard, sweat pouring of him and I when we brought the wheat and barley from the freshly harvested fields in to the shed where we then stacked to bags one by one. This was done with a Chevrolet Thriftmaster truck Donn on the deck pulling up the sacks and me lifting from the bottom of the sack. I recall one farmer telling Donn that he would kill the kid if he did not give me a break. There was no silos in those days just 200 lb bags.
The rat hunts that we had during the cleaning out of the chook sheds was always memorable, Donn with a .22 rifle with bird shot an me with a square mouthed shovel, if I remember correctly I had the better kill rate but Donn picked the of from the rafters with a great marksmanship.
After leaving school and starting my apprenticeship I continued to work on Saturdays right up untill I was to get married at 22 years old. Donn came to our wedding but sadley Jenny was in hospital with a new baby daughter.
We drifted apart over the years after we moved to Wakefield but it was great meeting up with him again a couple of years ago. There was a lot of reminising to do after close on 50 years.
Rest in Peace my friend Donn, you have certainly well and truly earned it and I trust that science will benifit from your kind donation.
