I 'sold' my first bike to Don when we were 15. It was a 1950 something BSA 125 Bantam. Don couldn't get the money from his Mum so we went into his Dads stuff to see what he could swap. Found a really nice Abu Garcia fishing reel in leather case, and the deal was done. I then sold the reel for $60, which was much more than the $20 I wanted for the bike. What a wheeler and dealer he was RIP Don.

from all of the Golden Bay Old Thumpers.

In 1976 a maniac on a CB360 rode past me outside Anondale park. It was Don. he came back to show me this beast, custom paint job 2 into 1 just a complete dream. we cahtted, I knew Don as one of the neighbourhood kids I had grown up with. Anyway he looked at me and asked if Id like a ride. Not as a passenger but a rider. I took off up Breezes road and rode to my school, but alas I saw no one I could pose to on Dons bike but from that day I steeped into the bike world. And now at 64 I just too delivery of my triumph Tiger 1200. That day with Don changed who I was and where I went. Saw Don maybr 10 years ago but that was it. He was a nice kind guy and Im dissapointed he has gone. By best to his loved ones and ................thanks Don.
