Hi Colleen and family, I am very sorry to hear of Donald's death, only just heard that he had passed. Jan and I have some very fond memories of him, from the saleyard days to Jaycee days, he was the best sherriff we ever had! Then we caught up again caravaning at Geraldine. He has done an awful lot for Rakaia and particularly the Fire Brigade, great days fond memories

The Dunlea Family, I am so very, very sad to read of Donald's passing. I first met him when I was working at Wyatt Chemist in Riccarton and he came in for his prescriptions and then I caught up with him again when I started working at the Diabetes Centre. I absolutely adored it when he came for his appointments and we always chatted for huge lengths of time and about a variety of things. A huge amount of those times about his wonderful grandchildren and how much he adored them and was so proud of them. He was such a lovely man and will be sadly missed. My condolences to you all, he was so proud of all his family.

To Colleen, Carmen and Craig, I've known Donald for many years from when I worked at the Addington saleyards, way back. A very helpful and hard working guy over the years to many people, many conversations over the time and even getting a jersey bobby calf for me to raise, was one of many things he did for people, and a great photographer along with his volunteer work with the fire dept and emergency work he did over the years, fantastic, the jokes he used to crack priceless and the saleyard days never a dull moment, he talked about you Craig very proud of your rugby and being in Scotland, and proud of you Carmen involved in the police dept, and adored his grandchildren to name a few memories I have of Donald. I bumped into Donald one day at the hospital recently Colleen after seeing you, and I realised it would be my last goodbye, a pleasure to know him, and meet you all those years ago at paddy's market in Oxford, Donald had a heart of gold he will be sorely missed, please accept my condolences
