A man of wisdom, warmth, and unwavering love, Brent will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Timaru Boys' High School Memorial Library in honour of Brent's lifelong love of learning and connection to the school. Messages for Brent's family may be posted to the Bruce family c/- 186 Talbot St, Geraldine 7930. The Memorial Service to celebrate Brent's life will be held in St Mary's Anglican Church, Geraldine on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 1.30pm.

If faith, kindness and humility are saintly virtues, then Brent was indeed a contemporary saint. Generations of Anglicans throughout the Diocese of Christchurch have been upheld by Brent's lifelong generosity, biblical wisdom and financial acumen. Weep if you must, Judith; but know in your heart that your entire married life has been blessed by best of men.

In Loving Memory of Brent.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Brent, who left us peacefully on September 2, at Timaru Public Hospital. Brent will be remembered for his warmth, wit, and generous spirit. He is deeply missed by his siblings John, Judith Verlander, and Donalda Barr, and fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, whose lives he touched with kindness and laughter.
Forever in our hearts.
