Richard, Suzie, and your loved ones. We are so sorry for your loss and are thinking of you all from New York. I will always remember Diane fondly, especially during her larger-than-life traveling and Opera singing days. She was a true survivor in more ways than one. xxx

Dear Diane, You were my teacher at Hagley. You took our wonderful choir, you sang to us in assembly with dear Mr Filer playing the piano for you. I've continued singing and it meant we bumped into each other over the decades. Thank you so much. One thing I remember fondly was, the students were singing God Defend New Zealand and you stopped us, and bellowed to make everyone stand up straight, shoulders back "It's our National Anthem for goodness sake. Remember that with pride any time you sing this". I've never forgotten that. Rest in musical peace Diane, with love Heather Johns Young

I started primary school the first day of the first term at St Paul's Dallington with Diane and we remained friends virtually all our lives. She sang at our wedding... She gave us a lovely blue glass vase as a wedding present... One day I came in from the clothes line and the preschool boys of ours had 'borrowed' the glass vase for a wicket and it was shattered - so was I!
Diane and I attended Hays Roof Choir with the Conductor Clifton Cook. I got caught chewing gum... (Naughty). Love and fond memories.
