Diane was a great character and I loved her attitude to life. I remember humour and jokes at work, and loved the way she went swimming with the staff at lunch time in the really hot weather. I do hope she packed as much as she could into her short retirement. My thoughts are with the family and all her friends.

I was one of the lucky ones who called Dianne a friend. We went on holidays to Mokau and Gisbourne. She was a trail blazer and stepped up to the hard challenges. Rest in peace Dianne.

Mrs Kawana was a wonderful teacher and fantastic person, I'm so saddedned to hear of her passing.

To Eve, and family... I really enjoyed having Diane as my teacher at Spotswood College and have often talked about a couple of things she did which were highly amusing. She was such a straight-up no-nonsense person. It was a pleasure coming across her again while I was on the BoT, and also on occasion when I saw her at Mass.
