BARNES, Derral Arnold - At 6.16 p.m., on Friday, December 27, 2012, peacefully at home in Wellington, aged 75. Beloved son of the late Inez and Arnold Barnes, brilliant brother to Carol and exceptional partner for 40 years to Derek.
Empty-handed I entered the world
Barefoot I leave it.

Two simple happenings that got entangled.
Like dew drops on a lotus leaf I vanish.Derral's Funeral service will be held at Rosewood, 415 Queen Street, Masterton on Friday, January 4, at 2.00 p.m., followed by private cremation.
Farewell - I pass as all things do -- Dew on the grass.
