31.08.1941 – 22.03.2024
Heartfelt thanks to all of you who sent messages and so many cards, who rang or sent a txt, who hugged and supported me, gave baking or meals and who visited me. Thank-you to all of you who came to the service celebrating Derek's life, some travelling long distances to be there. Your friendship and generosity means so much. Special thanks to the first responder and doctor who came to our home, then the paramedics and Westpac Helicopter Trust, as well as the Akaroa fire brigade personnel who were all so kind and caring. He is sorely missed - larger than life, generous, friendly and kind. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Family was so important to him. He was the light in my life, the fun and laughter in my life, sometimes the frustration in my life, but always the love of my life. Margaret and family.
