Derek FAIRLESS Obituary
Derek passed away peacefully at Cashmere View Care on Saturday, September 27, 2025, aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Georgina. Father and father-in-law of Stephen and Shelley Fairless, Amanda and Andrew Sharpe (Akaroa). Respected step-father to Shaun and Vanessa Mitchell, (Little River). Former husband of Elva (dec) and Noreen (dec). Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Cashmere View Rest Home for their care and attention given to Derek over the last 9 months.
He will be sadly missed.
Derek has kindly donated his body to the University of Otago, thanks to John Rhind Funeral Directors for organising Derek's journey. Messages to G Fairless, 4 Mersey Street, RD 1, Little River 7591.
