On Monday, June 9, 2025, peacefully, at Anthony Wilding Village, aged 79 years. Loved husband of Rosie for 37 years, loved father and father-in-law of Nicole and Joe, Jack and Karina, Robbie and Jade, loved Grandad of Luka, Kiera, Remi, and Nixie-Rose, loved uncle, mentor, and friend to many, respected member of Coastguard Canterbury for more than a decade. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Anthony Wilding SCU for the kindness and love shown to Del over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's New Zealand would be appreciated, and may be made online at alzheimers.org.nz. The funeral service in celebration of Del's life will be held in our Oaklands Chapel, corner Halswell Junction and Wigram Roads, Halswell, on Friday, June 13, at 2.30pm.

Rosie, Sorry to hear of Dels passing. I had given myself permission to take a holiday and I heard when visiting today. I'll aways remember Dels rendition of 'Danny Boy', and the fleeting chats we had. May the good memories rise up and last forever.
