Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle, in Greymouth, on June 25, 2025, aged 67. Dearly loved partner of Jeanne McEwen, special friend of Jacinda and Patrick, Brad, and Jude, loved Grandad Dave of Ellie, Jimmy, and Willow, loved son of the late John and Annie (Nan), loved brother and brother-in-law of Anne-Maree and Hugh O'Reilly, Christopher, Stephen and Annette, Robin and Nicola, Blaise and Sharyn, Elizabeth, Andy and Karilyn, and Heather and Wayne Stockdale, loved brother-in-law of Tony and Shelley Gibson, and a loved nephew, uncle, cousin and friend of many. A Service to celebrate Dave's life will be held in the William Sampson Memorial Chapel, Tainui Street, Greymouth, on Tuesday at 2.00pm, followed by cremation on the Coast at the Westland Crematorium.
