David STOKES Obituary
On Saturday, January 26, 2019, after a brave battle with cancer, David slipped away peacefully, surrounded by his family and best mate, at "Wyndale", the place he loved to be. Aged 55 years. Deeply loved and adored husband and soulmate of Nicola. Dearly loved Dad and best friend of Ben, Katy and Ella , and respected friend to Finley Cooke and Scott Carnochan. Loved son of Patricia and Bruce Stokes, and loved son-in-law of Nessie and the late Hilary Horgan. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Stuart and Julie, Tim and Bridget, and Andrew and Udette Stokes. Loved and respected brother-in-law of Greg and Judith Horgan, Elizabeth and Sam McSkimming, Barbara and the late Graeme Thompson, Michael and Jennifer Horgan, Margaret and Alan Fraser, Martin Horgan and Briar, and friend to Shirley. David was a much loved uncle to his many nephews and nieces. A celebration of David's life will be held at the Darfield Recreation Centre, on Friday, February 1, at 2.00pm. Dave would be happy if donations were made to the Westpac Air Rescue trust in lieu of flowers please.
