Tom Fogarty
Earlier today
David was a much loved brother-in-law and uncle to the Fogarty family. We very much enjoyed our robust conversations over the years ... usually we agreed and on the occasions when we didn't we always enjoyed the debate! So glad that Sonya and David made it to the Naki in more recent years where we had the most excellent of times. We are thinking of you all from afar and sorry we cannot be there on Thursday. David has died too young but we will also celebrate a life well-lived with you all on Thursday via the link.

Our thoughts are with you as you journey through this difficult time.
I went to Rangiora High with David, we used to catch the bus at 7.20am and didn't get dropped back at Kaiapoi till 4.20!!
We used to do a bit of pigeon and duck shooting and also whitebaiting. We used to go to Karamea with Harold who used to set a flounder net in the estuary up there, me and David got pissed at the local pub and raided dad's net at about 2am come back and cooked up fresh flounder, father was not impressed with either of us in the morning!
Rest in peace my friend.
Deric Stone.

Sonya and boys...do sorry to hear this sad news. We had some great times at Karamea. I'll have a glass of bourbon in your honour. Sorry I can't make it to the service. Will be thinking of you .

Dave was my trainer on line 2 at the then Carter Holt Harvey . I remember him as a kind person and we shared a few yarns . Over the years we lost track of each other but your memory will live on !
RIP Dave and condolences to the family.
