David RHODES Obituary
David passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, January 28, 2022, aged 71 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Carolyn, treasured and much loved dad of Paula, and Bronwyn, devoted and loving granddad of Charlotte, and Tom, much loved brother and brother-in-law of Mark and Deborah, uncle of Ben and Gab, Zoe, Sophie, Jethro, and Rose; Vanessa and Jason; Craig and Wendy, Logan, and Bailey. Special thanks to the carers at Nurse Maude, and all our wonderful friends for their love and support. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late David Rhodes c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. Due to current restrictions on gatherings, a Memorial Service for David will be held, with invitations personally extended by family. Vaccine Passes will be required. Sorry for your lost of david I spend lots hours at syd club rooms at syd park after games and when we were cutting up wood for money to help the trip to aust in 1983 played four won four a great trip. I meet david in 1973 when we started a rail rugby team in 4th grade A A great syd man loss

To Carolyn and family, please accept my sincere condolences in the sad passing of Dave. We had many enjoyable times in our "formative " years and enjoyed competing and socialising on and off the rugby field and I could only sit back and admire the contribution he made to all levels of rugby in NZ, he was a top bloke and will be sadly missed.
