A great friend and work colleague. It's a few decades now since we were at the North Canterbury Catchment Board while at the City, David's head would always pop up when you walked in. Sincere condolences.

A man of few but very profound words, fountain of all knowledge and historical background of the Chch District Plan, and a look that would tell you exactly what he thought without actually saying it. David was an amazing person to learn from when I first started in the District Plan Team at Christchurch City Council. So very professional in his approach and stickler to process - which we planners loved. My thoughts are with you Jenny and the wider whanau.

External rest grant unto him O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen
