David NEVIN Obituary

Passed away suddenly at home, on Friday, August 1, 2025; aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Gaynor, much loved father and father-in-law of Andrew and Lynn, Todd and Dawn, Ryan, and Kelly and Ryan, loved Granddad of Emily, Sami, Ruby, Sophie, Maria and Jacob. Messages to the Nevin family, c/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady Of Victories Catholic Church, 106 Main South Road, Sockburn, on Friday, August 8, at 11.00am. Interment at Avonhead Memorial Park to follow.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Davids passing. Even though we met via work. I considered David a dear friend. He was a man filled will knowledge and I was thankful for his advice and also his guidance on faith. He is now resting with Gaye. Condolences to family.

I was saddened to read of David's passing.
I worked with David at ANZ Armagh Street 1986/92.
He was the Bank accountant and a friendly co worker.
The photo I have included was taken during the Bank's celebrations for being in NZ for 150 years.
Our branch dressed in period costume and had a very enjoyable day. Photos were taken..a lovely serious one followed by one where the photographer wanted us to be funny.
I am not sure if he meant for Gentleman David to throttle the parlour maid..but that was what happened.
David you were a lovely man..many will be sad at your passing.
