On October 1, 2024, died peacefully in hospital surrounded by family, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of Marie, father and father-in-law of Brent; and Debbie and Andrew. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Goldie and Lyn and loved by many nieces and nephews Greg, Liz and Jack, Daryl, Bernadette, Jamie, Chris and Sarah, Phillip, Sam, Garian, Gabrielle and Isaac, Julieanne, Jessie, Jecca, Gracie and Ollie. Special thanks to the amazing staff in Christchurch ICU who cared for David over the last week. Your support was greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers donations to Cancer Society NZ would be appreciated and may be made at the service. Messages may be addressed to the family of the late David May, c/-Hope Funerals Christchurch, 27 Amyes Road, Hornby, Christchurch 8042. The Funeral Service for David will be held at St Martins/St James Anglican Church, 50 Lincoln Rd, Spreydon, Christchurch, on Thursday, October 10 at 2.00pm.

David was a great person , sharing stories at wednesday morning services with me , always had a smile on his face and was happy , my sympathy to Marie and the rest of his family
