David HERD Obituary
On July 6, 2023, at home with all his family after a short illness, aged 78 years. Dearly treasured husband of Pat for 55 years. Devoted Dad of Andrea and Brian Hickling, Russell and Anna. Much loved and amazing Granddad of Katie, and William. Loved stepfather of Kerri and Alan. Son of the late Bill and Nan, and son-in-law of the late Eddie and Audrey Kirby. Loved brother of Gillian, Sue and Ian, Shirley and the late Andrew, Rick and Sue. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Service to celebrate David's life in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street, Whanganui, on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 2.30pm, to be followed by a private cremation. Pat, Andrea, Brian, Russell, Anna and families, I´m sending you all my love and thoughts. All those years ago when I was your houseguest every single weekend Dave treated me like a queen and welcomed me like I was part of the family. I was always so fond of him. I am so sorry he has gone from our lives, but he will always be in my memories. I have only just seen the notice and realised the funeral was this afternoon, I was intending to come and pay my respects but I am too late. Please know you are all in my thoughts.
