David Shadbolt QSM:
On April 23, 2015, peacefully at home with his family around him, aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband of Georgie (deceased). Wonderful and cherished father and father-in-law of Dave and Karen, Anne and Garry,
Gaylene (deceased), Marie
and Mark, Debbie and Grant, Helen, and Paul. Exeptional grandad to Luke, Simon, Rachel, Jeremy, Matthew and Chrissy, Tim and Kim, Chris and Bidi, Scott, Alex, Charlotte, Poppy and Beth. Great-grandad and special friend to all his great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to Dr Paula Hanley and Aggie from Nurse Maude for their compassionate care of Dad during his final days. In lieu of flowers donations to Nurse Maude Palliative Care would be appreciated and may be made at the service. A celebration of Dave's life will be held at the La Vida centre, 34a Hansons Lane, Upper Riccarton, Christchurch, on Friday, May 1, at 1.00pm. Private thereafter.

I was so sad this morning when i read on Stuff this morning that Uncle Dave had passed away. My heartfelt love and sympathy to the whole family. May he be at peace with Georgie:) he was a very special father and loved all his children without reservation. Much love to you all. Your cousin - Jan.
