David BUTCHER Obituary
It is with great sadness that we advise the passing of David at Christchurch Hospital on December 23, 2015, aged 77 years. David was the loving husband of Jean, adored father and friend of Craig, Sarah, and Rachel and father-in-law of Monika, and John. He was a treasured and much loved grandfather of Hamish and Campbell, George and Luke, and Bettina and Amy. As first-born to the late Betty and Bill Butcher, David was a loved brother of Joan, Lois, Pauline, and Bill and brother-in-law of Shirley. Through Jean he was also an important family member to Irene and John Shaw, Pauline and the late John Huggins, Helen and Paul Bryce, and Bob and Shirley Colthart. Special thanks to Dr Andrew Butler and the staff of the Hematology Unit, Christchurch Hospital. Messages may be sent to PO Box 4087, Christchurch Mail Centre 8140. The Service for David will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Tomorrow (Wednesday), at 2.00pm.

David was my beloved elder brother. Although we did not see each other in recent years I did have the pleasure of visiting him recently and now have fond memories of our time together along with my younger sister Pauline. To Jean and family I send my love to you all.
