BLANCHARD, David Lory (Lory) M.N.Z.M. WW2, RNZN, HMS Achilles - Passed away suddenly whilst visiting his wife on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband of Lyndsay. Loved father and father-in-law of Jennifer and Alan Lynn; Christine and Bryan Cormack; Rosemary and Ian Plows (Queensland); Stephen and Marianne Blanchard (Chile); and Jasmine and Jason Brown (Wellington). Treasured grandfather of Katherine and Nicholas; Leanne and Murray; Rachelle and Jason; Justin and Aaron; Melissa, Nathan, Stephen, Christian, and Katherine; Ashleigh, Courtney, and Rebbecca. Loved great-grandfather of Kaylin; Bree, Ian, and Casey; Liam and Elie; and Tomas. Messages to the Blanchard family, C/- PO Box 10345, Christchurch, 8145. In lieu of flowers donations to Starship Children's Hospital would be appreciated and may be made at the service. The Funeral Service for Lory will be held in The Ferry Park Chapel, 297 Ferry Road, on Tuesday, January 8, at 2.00 p.m.
