David BLAKE Obituary
Of Paraparaumu. On April 25, 2021 surrounded by family at Wellington Hospital. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Janice; father and father-in-law of Nik and Wes and Mandy; brother and brother-in-law of Ruth and Ken, and Marion (dec). Proud Grandpa of Bronte, Allegra and Felix. The family wish to sincerely thank the team from Wellington Hospital for their care of David. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance at www.wfa.org.nz/donate would be appreciated. A service to celebrate David's life will be held at Waikanae Baptist Church, 286 Te Moana Road, Waikanae, on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 11.00am, followed by burial at Awa Tapu Cemetery.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Shared many wonderful lunches, seat jumping , food stealing from each other and stories in the cafe with the currency boys. My Love to Janice and the family and share in your grief having just lost my mum recently.
I know that they will remain in our hearts forever and there must be one almighty party going on up there!

This is very sad and shocking news indeed. After an incredibly long and dedicated career at the Reserve Bank David deserved a long and happy retirement with his family. Our thoughts are with his family for losing him so soon.
