David BIDDICK Obituary

On November 30, 2023, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. David passed peacefully at Ilam Arvida surrounded by his family. Dearly loved husband of Elizabeth, treasured father and father-in-law of Anna and Dirk Koster (Christchurch), and James and Lara (USA). Special Danda of Ava and Noah Koster. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Bruce (deceased) and Lillian (Melbourne), Norm (deceased) and Lorraine (Christchurch), John Steele and Lynette Budge (Omarama), and Robin and Colleen Steele (Glenavy). Loved uncle of his nephews and nieces and special friend to many. A special thank you to Dr Josh Howe and the staff and carers at Ilam Arvida for their excellent care of and kindness to David. David has been privately cremated at his request. David found enormous pleasure in helping others through the vehicle of sport, most notably at Riccarton High School where he dedicated countless hours as the Sports Coordinator (18 years) and Cricket Coach (25 years). A Give A Little page has been created to carry on David's legacy, with the goal of upgrading the cricket pitch and playing field, and to build a viewing area for future generations to enjoy. http://givealittle.co.nz/cause/david-biddick-carrying-on-his-legacy

My sincere condolences to David´s family in his sad passing , I certainly enjoyed and appreciated the time and effort he put into coaching cricket at Riccarton High School, a lot of the players through those years have gone on to be fine players. His legacy will be long remembered at RHS
