Love you grandad! Time to put the feet up and take a rest.

We can all hear your words or wisdom now... What I would do if I were you is not to shed a tear or be in sorrow or sadness but to remember the stories and the good times we shared.

So very sorry for your loss. Dave was very special to us, in many ways. He was a man after God's own heart. A man of tremendous character. He also had that special ability, to make you feel heard and understood. He was truly one of a kind!

Our families deepest sympathies and condolences to David and his family. We've known David since childhood. Their family was our next door neighbor. He has been a part of our lives since then. He will be missed.

Our family has made a donation to the Dave Ashby Fund for First Responders in his honor.

So sorry for your loss. I went to Central HighSchool. Class of 71. I remember seeing Dave in school. He was very thoughtful and caring when we were in school. It was a pleasure to know that there was someone like that. He will be missed but remember your memories that you all have.

David made such a tremendous impact on my life many years before I even met him He had a daily devotion on the radio every morning on my way to work He helped me start the day perfectly putting it in God´s hand I always but never thought I would have the privilege of meeting him I was beyond delighted when I had the privilege of serving him at my job and later meeting the wonderful & so beautiful Janet I was blessed to talk & serve them both Many tears for the temporary departure of their earthly lives but joy is coming in our resurrection God bless you all as we all follow their heart warming magnificent example

My husband and I were privileged to attend the Baptist church in the early 80s where Dave was pastor. I know your hearts are hurting but I pray you all find peace knowing he is with the savior and that you will be together again one day

David's family, especially Tim and Vickie, I am so sorry for your loss. David truly loved and cared no matter what circumstance.

Jody and I have known David since he a Janet moved in next door. Both were so caring and loving. We both had spoken with David the day before his passing. This was such a shock to us, as it has been to everyone that has known David. He was a good and faithful servant, and Heaven has gained another Angel

Pastor Ashby was incredible. Every sermon I heard affected me and touched my heart in ways beyond explanation. I always left feeling so blessed and loved. There will never be another David Ashby. He definitely impacted so many people and will be missed. I am so sorry for the family and community´s loss. I feel he made me a better person even though it has been many years since I last saw him.
