David ANDERSON Obituary

On January 6, 2026, at home in Paraparaumu, aged 85, following a long, brave battle with cancer. Dearly beloved husband of 59 years to Nancy; cherished Dad and father-in-law to Hamish and Melissa, Kirsty and Paul, and Fraser and Susan; adored Poppa to Henry, William, James, Finn, Nico, Noah, Gus and Tully. Much loved by the wider Anderson, Rush and Cleland families. A service to celebrate David will be held at the Funeral Home Chapel, 9-11 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu, on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 1.30pm, followed by a private family cremation. A very dear friend from high school & St Paul's youth group in Timaru and stayed in touch over all the 63 years since our wedding in 1962 where David was one of the bridle party. He was a great friend to both our families over his lifetime and loved by us all. One day when we were in Rome we were spotted by David & Nancy in the crowd and we sat down and enjoyed a coffee and a catchup. A very dear friend has gone on ahead of us, so until we meet again, much love dear David.
