Darryn MELROSE Obituary
Darryn, aged 59, passed away peacefully at home on Christmas Day 2025, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Valerie von Geldern, cherished father of Amber, Cara, Gabriel, and Xavier. Much-loved brother of Wayne and the late Bob, adored son of the late Tony and Liz, treasured by Jean and Murray. Most loyal companion to Rafa. Darryn's unwavering optimism, grace, warmth, and deep sense of care for everyone around him will forever inspire us. A memorial service will be held at Akarana Yacht Club, 8 Tamaki Drive, Auckland on Friday, January 16, 2.00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to www.nzspinaltrust.org.nz are appreciated.

Sincere condolences from the UK Alpina community. As a fellow Alpina Roadster S owner my wife and I met Darryn on our last trip to NZ in February 2024 and were hoping to meetup again this February. I heard about Darryn's cancer when contacting him in October and he put on a very brave front and remained strong.
