Darryl PHILLIPS Obituary

To the Phillips family, i had the pleasure of dealing with Darryl on my previous 2 cars nice bloke and great to deal with. Graham Porter Mosgiel.

So sad to hear of the passing of Darryl. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Heather, Terence and families. Just one hell of a good guy. Sadly missed.

To all the Phillips family,
We were all very shocked and saddened to hear of Darryls passing. We have lots of memories of Darryl as Norm just loved working at the car yard and was treated with such kindness by Darryl. A fun loving happy soul with an infectious smile.

He will be sorely missed by a large number of people as I'm sure most of Ashburton have bought a car off Darryl at some stage. I'm sure Norm will be up there in heaven saying "What are you doing here boy?. Come and have a beer and a catch up".
Thoughts are with you all at this sad time.

Sharan and I are so sorry to hear of Darryl's passing.
Darryl was such a good bugger always had a smile and witty sense of humour.
We shared and will always remember the great times had on rugby trips,
Pumpkin competions and boxing day events.
Darryl was just one of those good guys that are special and unreplacable.
Sadly missed and sad for not being able to share in Darryl's celebration of life.

He´s did so much for my family we all love him dearly & will miss him a lot I just traded my vehicle not long ago for a new 1 & he was so awesome to me , my mum & him use to have a laugh or 2 cos I would always take her along with me wen I would buy a car, & I think in a funny way he use to b alittle bit scared it use to make me laugh so again I was so shocked wen I found out that Darryl was gone so a lot of love to the family & to u Terrance u were so much like him in a big way so frm me my mum (who will miss him a lot) & the rest of the family that has had cars frm Darryl which is most of us

We cannot express how sorry we are for the loss of Darryl, he was such a special person.

Passed away as a result of a tragic accident on Friday, September 30, 2022. Loved and admired brother and brother-in-law to Judy and Jim Barbour, Bruce and Wendy Phillips, and Sue. Much loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
Always remembered for his generosity and his positive, happy demeanour.

PHILLIPS, Darryl:
Much loved and respected family friend of the Murneys, McLarens, and Newtons. A supportive friend of Hank, and a fun, kind, and admired God Father of Charlotte McLaren.
