Darcy PRESTON Obituary
On October 8, 2020 suddenly at Woodend. Dearly loved son of the late Clifton and June Preston, loved brother and brother-in-law of Bill and Sheila (Lake Tekapo), and the late Wayne. Darcy was loved by his nieces Heather and Elizabeth and their families, and was a dear friend to his mates at Woodend. Messages may be sent to the Preston family, c/- PO Box 27, Lake Tekapo 7945. At Darcy's request, a private cremation has taken place.

Darcy was a founding member of the Rangiora Bridge Club. He was remembered on Saturday at the club with a few drinks and reminiscences. He will be missed for his knowledge and helpful attitude.

Am so sorry to hear of Darcy's passing :( I met Darcy when working at the Woodend Hotel then at Woodend Sports Bar then recently at the Kaikanui Tavern where I now work, and operate the TAB. I made sure there was Ice in the water flask (Darcy really appreciated that) He truly was a polite gentleman, am so going to miss him x
