MANNING, Daphne Mavis
(formerly Stewart,
nee Smith):
On December 25, 2018, at the Nurse Maude Hospice, with family by her side. Aged 94. Youngest daughter of the late Sidney and Edith Smith. Sister of the late Bell Cox and the late May MacGowan. Loved wife of the late Alexander (Sandy) Stewart, and the late Sydney Manning. Loved mother and mother-in-law of John and Shamina Stewart, and Joanne and Rick Vine (Auckland). Loved Grandma and Great-Grandma of Timothy Stewart (Brisbane), Alastair and Jaime Stewart, Maxine and Mark Wilson-Vine (Auckland), and Samantha and Rhys Rohan-Vine, Ethan, Kaylee, Angus, Riley and Jayden. Loved sister-in law, aunt and great-aunt to extended family members, and special stepmother to Jonathan. Thanks to Dr Narcis Sitjes and Nurse Maude Staff for their recent care. In lieu of flowers donations to Nurse Maude Hospice would be appreciated and may be made at the service. Messages c/- the Manning/Stewart family to PO Box 35046, Christchurch 8640. A Celebration of Daphne's life will be held at Dignity with Sincerity's Funeral Centre, 78 Brisbane Street, Waltham, on Monday, December 31, at 11.30am, thereafter a private cremation.
