SHILLING, Daniel (Dan):
It is with broken hearts that we sadly announce that our 'best boy' Dan, aged just 21 years, has been involved in an accident and died on Sunday, January 24, 2016. He leaves behind a desperately sad Mum and Dad, Corrina and James, his little sis Phoebe, his girlfriend Sheri, his Granny Margaret and
late Grandad Harry (Wellington), his devoted Nanny Joy and Grandad Ted (UK). Very loved nephew of Maxine and Paul, and Steve and Jo (UK), and Chris and Faye (Dunedin), and his fun loving cousins Jake, Oliver and Molly and Lizzie, Tom and Harry (UK), and his many many friends from both the UK and NZ; lastly his very loved cat Belle. His celebration of life is at Newbery Lodge, 15 Newbery Street, Opawa, Christchurch, on Tuesday, February 2, from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. It's in the theme of Arsenal football club - please wear red, white, or any footy/rugby top. All welcome. Feel free to bring picnic rugs or cushions to sit on. Please no flowers. We are having a private cremation on Monday.

Hi John McWilliams here, I only met Dan briefly at James 50th birthday and he struck me as an engaging personality with plenty of youthful zest and a respectful disposition to the older folks he talked to. The moment was brief but the memory is long. "Go the Gunners"
