I first met Daniel about 60 years ago when I was assessing and Daniel was Panel Beating. We became very close friends. Going pig hunting was always a challege and lots of laughs. Joan and I became very close friends with Jean and Daniel, spending lots of time with them at South Bay Kaikoura. We got a shock when we heard of Daniels death as he had only recently rung. Fare thee well Diesel ~ until we meet again. We will miss your cheeky smile, endless stories and zest for life. Always a laugh when you were around. A great Guy with a great attitude

Loved meeting Uncle Dan on the few occasions it occurred. He gave me small insights to my Dad,Billy, and incredible history lesson of the ancestry of the Robins. Much love and condolences to everyone who knew this wonderful Man

Daniel was a good friend from days long gone and passed. His view on life and what it had to offer was priceless and he lived it to the fullest. From fishing trips in the sounds and the odd hunting trip he was the light of every occasion. Although it´s some time since we last met I will miss him
